We collaborate with clients internationally who share our passion for thoughtful design and exceptional outdoor spaces. If you are considering a future project, book a consultation to explore the possibilities.
Landscape Design Process
Our approach to landscape design focuses not only on visual impact, but also on creating meaningful experiences. We aim to design outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and enjoyable to live in for years to come.
To achieve this, each project follows a clear and thoughtful design process that allows ideas to develop and be refined at every stage.
Our landscape design process includes four key phases:
Consultation
Site Analysis
Concept Design
Concept Development
-
Firstly, our Studio Director will meet with you virtually via Google Meet to discuss ideas and gather the key information needed to develop your project design brief. With a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective, they will offer creative insight and thoughtful recommendations. During this consultation, we explore the practical and aesthetic aspirations for your outdoor space, including lifestyle requirements, functionality and budget.
Drawing from this discussion, we then prepare your project design brief, outlining the key ideas and priorities that will guide the development of your proposed design.
-
Our site analysis process is conducted remotely, allowing us to carefully study your property before design work begins.
Using the photos and site surveys provided by you, along with satellite imagery and digital mapping tools, we build a detailed understanding of the existing conditions of your landscape. This allows our studio to assess important factors such as site orientation, sun movement and shadow patterns throughout the day and across seasons.
We also evaluate prevailing wind directions, local weather patterns and drainage considerations to ensure the proposed design responds appropriately to the climate and environment. Planting opportunities are explored during this stage, where we analyse soil conditions, sunlight exposure and microclimates to determine suitable planting styles and species palettes.
By combining your provided information with advanced online analysis tools, we develop a clear picture of the site’s opportunities and constraints. This process allows our studio to design an outdoor space that is not only visually compelling, but also practical, resilient and well suited to its environment.
-
Flexible, expert advice when you need it. Book hourly support across a range of topics—from planning to problem-solving. This focused consultation will help clarify your goals, map out next steps, and identify opportunities for growth.Following acceptance of our fee proposal, we develop a landscape design concept in response to your project brief, allowing you to clearly understand the full vision and scope of the project. This stage includes a schematic design outlining the major elements of the space, such as swimming pools, walls, structures, water features and surface treatments.
To bring the concept to life, we utilise industry-leading 3D visualisation to present the design with exceptional clarity and realism. These highly detailed images allow you to experience the atmosphere, materials and spatial qualities of the proposed design, providing a clear and compelling representation of the project before construction begins. Alongside this, we provide professional documentation to ensure the key elements and relationships within the design are fully communicated and understood.
-
Once the design concept has been approved, we move into the design development stage, where the proposal is refined and expanded in greater detail. During this phase, we further resolve key elements of the design, including furniture layouts, material and finish selections, and lighting design, ensuring that every component works cohesively within the overall vision.
We also produce a more developed set of drawings that clearly communicate the intent and technical aspects of the design. These documents provide the level of clarity needed for the project to progress toward construction and can be shared with contractors, engineers and any relevant specialists required for the next stages of the project.
This process ensures the design is not only visually compelling, but also well considered and practical to implement, allowing the project team to confidently move forward into the construction phase.
